The Global Map School is a project where children around the world learn of
other nations or areas, exchange information with each other, and think about
the future of the earth together using the Global Map as a tool.
"I want you to know these aspects of our country!"
"I want you to see these features of our country!"
"I can recommend places in Japan (the Philippines) if you visit."
In 2006, the "Global map School" project--Children in Japan and the
Philippines discuss via the Internet or TV conferences, creating a map for introducing
their country to each other-- started.
The Global Map is a tool of communication
A significant feature of "The Global Map School" Project
is to conduct classes using "the Global Map". The Global Map is digital
data and accordingly various types of information can be listed on it after processing.
We can create a "Shared Global Map" through collaborative work. We can
also communicate our ideas through the Global Map. "The Global Map"
is a tool of communication that goes beyond language.
